How much does it cost?
For Digital Distribution, it only costs you AUD$19.99 per year for unlimited uploads. If you require admin publishing with us, the cost is only AUD$150 for a one-time set up fee. For more on pricing and your rights, click here.
I already have a Distributor, can I still use Dark Escapes?
Yes! It’s important to understand that if you are with a Distributor only, and don’t have any publishing representation, you’re only getting royalty payments on the Master File and not the Composition of the musical work. What does Dark Escapes do that my PRO does not?
Your Performance Rights Organisation (PRO) collects performance royalties in its home territory. While they say they are able to collect internationally, they do so through reciprocal deals with foreign PROs which often result in delayed registrations (if the songs get registered at all). What do I need to get started?
Simply head to our homepage and sign up. It’s that simple! Later, you will need to provide us with your Master tracks in a 24 Bit / 44.1 kHz sample rate for each song you register with us, as well as artwork to the specifications of 3000 x 3000 pixels, in PNG or JPG format. However, once you have signed and gained entry to our members area, all the necessary help is provided.
How much does distribution cost with Dark Escapes?
You can distribute unlimited music to all the major online digital platforms around the world for just AUD$19.99 per year. Full details of our distribution packages can be found on our Pricing page.
Will Dark Escapes take any of my Royalties?
As a Music Publishing company and Distributor, Dark Escapes collects more than just Master royalties for you, and will keep a very small percentage of the Royalties collected on your behalf. Contact us to discuss this further with a one of our highly experienced team members.

How do I get paid for my music?
Everything is managed by the Dark Escapes Publishing and Music teams on your behalf. Once your music has collected over $160, a payment will be made at the end of the next quarter, to your nominated bank account. If you would like to request a special payout, just send us an email detailing your reasons.
Payments usually take between 7 and 10 working days to reach your bank account.
How do I view my sales data & earnings?
The Dark Escapes Analytics team will send you a quarterly report showing all available insights and analytics. If you require something earlier, please email us your request at any time.
You can also log into our member dashboard to view your royalties in real time. Contact us to find out more.
Do you work with music videos?
Absolutely! We can help you set up a YouTube channel & Vevo Channel if you don’t already have one. We also add your music videos to our Dark Escapes channels for additional exposure to our growing audience, and increased royalty payment opportunities.
Do I need to renew my subscription?
When you join us at Dark Escapes Music and Dark Escapes Publishing, you will operate on a rolling 1 year contract. This ensures that your music is always available for digital streaming and distribution, and you’re always collecting those royalties, until you decide to terminate your agreement with us.
Will you promote my music?
At Dark Escapes Music, our team will help with some initial promotion to help kick-start awareness of any new artist signed. However, for any on-going digital marketing and promotion, we do offer paid services sold separately and subject to approval.
