Birddog was founded by Rhys and Courtney in the Sunraysia region of Australia, where the Murray River separates the states of NSW and Victoria. In the heart of several First Nations communities, world-class almond & fruit farming, and natural wetlands, these two young men have begun a musical journey that will resonate for generations to come.
Still in their mid-teens, Courtney and Rhys possess a talent beyond their years. Having already firmly established themselves as local favourites, they have begun capturing the attention of onlookers far and wide. Despite not having released any official music on the market as yet, a couple of demo tracks found their way to Australian Indie Label Dark Escapes Music. This prompted a unanimous reaction from the label that led to signing a more long-term deal.
Following the success of their first official single, Drifter, in November 2022, Birddog is now focusing on writing and releasing more material. With the support of their label, they will aim to push their brand of indie rock out around the world.
There is much more to come from these guys as they hone and develop their craft.
