Hey there! So you’ve got your awesome lyrics all set, and you’re wondering how to get them on Spotify, right? No worries, I’ll walk you through it with Musixmatch – the magic tool that syncs your words to your tunes, making your friends feel like they’re belting out karaoke with you!

Step one, head over to pro.musixmatch.com and sign up. Once you’re in, connect your artist account so you can submit your lyrics. Remember, Musixmatch plays nice with Spotify, but you’ll need either a Spotify premium account or uploaded mp3s to get the sync rolling.

Now, brace yourself – Musixmatch can be a bit quirky. You’ll see messages like “Draft has been saved,” and sometimes, it’s unclear if your submissions went through. Don’t sweat it; we’ve all been there!

Head to the sync tab once your lyrics are in and the audio is uploaded or synced with Spotify Premium. You’ll see your lyrics with a handy play bar and arrow buttons. Use those arrows to scroll through and set things up.

Here’s the fun part: you can fine-tune your lyrics, fix filler words, and adjust phrasing. Sometimes, how you write isn’t exactly how you sing it, but that’s totally normal. Those little tweaks can make a world of difference.

Don’t get overwhelmed with all the structure options – stick to the basics like Intro, Verse, Chorus, and Instrumental. Add some #VERSE, #CHORUS, etc., during the sync process, and you’re good to go!

When everything’s polished, it’s time to give credit where credit’s due. Add the songwriters, producers, and musicians – they deserve some recognition for making your song shine!

Alright, you’re almost there! Hit that “Send” button in the top right-hand corner, and voilà! Your lyrics are set to dazzle on Spotify. And hey, if you prefer visuals, check out my YouTube video on how I handled the lyrics for my track “Patterns.” It’s a helpful guide!
